to Booths by the Bridge
Booths by the Bridge is a family-run cafe and bar in the former Railway Tavern in Tonna, just outside Neath. We sit right on the Neath Canal, with a garden overlooking the River Neath — the perfect stop on a canal walk, or to catch up with friends over great coffee and delicious food.
Our coffee is from Coaltown, speciality coffee roasted just up the road in Ammanford. Alongside it you'll find freshly filled lunchtime baguettes from 11:30, plus handmade cakes from Baked by Jones and fresh pastries. If it's your first visit, try the baguette everyone comes back for: our Rare Roast Beef Baguette with a peppercorn dunker.
Dogs are always welcome with free treats on the bar, there's parking right outside. You don't need to book — we have plenty of seats, so just come along and grab a table.

Our story
It all started with a passing joke about how the old Railway Tavern in Tonna would make a lovely spot for a cafe. Before we knew it, we had the keys and what started as a crazy idea, quickly snowballed into a reality.
The building had been left to ruin, but we could see what it could become. What we couldn't see was the reality check coming our way. With no hospitality experience between us, leaving our jobs to take it on was a big leap. We spent the year renovating the whole place, and were helped (or saved) every step of the way by our family and friends, who we couldn't be more grateful for.
We're really proud of how it's turned out, and we've loved every minute since opening our doors. A huge thank you to all our customers who keep coming back — you're the ones keeping this dream a reality.
